The magic of new beginnings finds its way to us every New Year. Starting over. The promise of possibility and the hope of a fresh start. Who isn’t seduced by such prospects?

What will you do with this blank slate? How will you remake your life? Will you pick the standard issue: lose weight, stop drinking, spend more time with loved ones? Or will you choose options less pursued? Not a one size fits all option. But one uniquely tailored to the miracle of you.

Imagine if you had only one week to live. What would be important to you? Spending more time at work, more time with loved ones or listening to your heart?

What is your heart telling you this very moment?

Nothing exists outside of the present. We can learn from the past and hope for a better future, but there is nothing but now.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t restart your life on January 1st. The truth? You can restart it any moment. But it is easier when everyone around you embraces new beginnings.

Now, since we all love being told the way to enlightenment:

  1. Sit in a quiet place, turn off all electronic devices.
  2. Take a deep breath in through your nose, feel it fill your lungs, and slowly let it out of your mouth with a whooshing sound.
