Wow. You remind me how people always say to me why don’t you design clothing for people in wheelchairs? Or why didn’t you become a disability rights lawyer? As if my disability was the be all and end all of my existence. I have other interests besides that part of my life. I write about all kinds of things because, just like any person, I am multi-dimensional.

That’s just another facet of ableism. To think we have to be everything disabled.

I realized just by becoming visible in the world, people might begin to think, huh? Disabled people are just like me.
